Sometimes art has a unique way of imitating life and the evidence can be found in the short film entitled Should I Stay or Should I Go. The late hip hop legend, Kangol Kid thrives in his role as a sickly grandfather stricken with terminal cancer while battling covid. Simply known as Pop, this character struggles with the decision to be euthanized. This conflict spills over to his daughters played by Brandice Peltier, Gina Taylor &  Tracey Remarais who all have opposing points on this matter. As the writer & director, I never thought I would write a character who battles and passes away from cancer to then cast an actor who was currently going through the same ordeal. We shot in June 2021 and Kangol passed away from cancer in December 2021. Over the past year we have been on a successful screening tour both domestically and internationally.
